I’m currently a Software Developer with MDF Commerce. My primary responsibility is building a platform largely focused on local government procurement and vendor management.
Previously at Vendor Registry, which was acquired by MDF Commerce in 2020, I handled most of our infrastructure and DevOps.
I was also the point person for our continually growing use of ElasticSearch. Touching many technologies, solving a number
of unique problems, and being a part of an extremely talented, caring team was incredibly satisfying!
In 2015, I earned an A.A.S. in Computer Science from Pellissippi State.
I had never been to college until the age of 31. I worked very hard,
graduated with a 3.69 GPA, and received the "Outstanding Student of the Year" award in 2016.
I feel it is very important to pay it forward in life. I’ve received a lot of help during my CS journey and want to
offer the same to others. While I was a student, I was the President of AITP and
I’m still involved post-graduation. I often perform workshops on various topics at the school as well.
I thrive on solving difficult problems with technologies I know nothing about. Currently, I've undertaken development using Powershell,
as I've become fascinated with DevOps. I’m also studying security- both on a software and network level. There is never a shortage of opportunity to learn.
I encourage everyone to follow their dreams... I’m definitely following mine!
